Sangam Reader?? - Version: 1.2, 10/25/2003 04:41PM PST

I use the Sangam Reader for Word that was included with Indesign 2, and the Place text feature. This automatically imports everything from my Word document, and updates the InDesign document any time I make a change in Word. What does this product offer that's better than this?? If anything, this sounds like a step backwards...

Thanks for the pointer to the free alternative. It works perfectly and I've been looking for something like this. To the developer of Smart Paste - yes, it doesn't do bold/italic. But $40ish per year?!? What happens if you fall off the face of the earth in 6 months? I have nothing against a renewable license, but you have to give somewhere. You don't charge the equivalent of the full price every year. You charge something like $20 for the first year, $10 a year after that or something along those lines. I wish you well, but your pricing for a one-trick pony (sorry, two-trick since it picks up bold/italic) is way out of line.

The plug-in available here does the same thing, works well and is free: http://www.ctrl-ps.com/downloadFile.asp?file=CtrlAttributeStrip.sit.
