Product Description:

This plugin enables you to add fields in textboxes. The fields are automatically updated. The fields can contain: Timestamp, last username, list of used fonts in doc. and also a complete log on all users who have modified the document. It also enables you to add timestamps and other fields. The CS version fits perfectly to the newly updated slug-area of InDesign CS. It allows you to place formated timestamps, logs, print-numbers, saved-numbers etc. in the slug-area and have them automatically updated on save.
Some of the newest features:

XMP support: All data is also updated into XMP.
Modify dates on images are added to XMP allowing for EXTERNAL decision on whether any image needs update in the document!
Copy/paste of tagged info between documents are updated on save.
Option to include fonts in images to the font listing
Option to make font list comma delimited.
Option to make image list comma delimited.
Option to split image list by page number.

I asked for some more features, amd the next day i have an email telling me my requests are in the new product. The dialog and response with Søren over at "Knowbody" has been unbelievable. If all developers were this attentive, I would be out of a job.

I work for a very large agency, and slugging every document takes time. As does tracking printouts, and who worked on a file last. This plug in addresses all our needs. I asked for a couple of modifications, and two days later the 3.1.2 update was posted. It now tracks fonts and images (optionally,) used in the slug area as well as those on the page. I can't ask for better response, and this price makes it a no brainer.

Point

Have been using for about 2 weeks to create slugs for design projects. This is just the plug-in I needed for tracking and approving jobs. Excellent support. I emailed a suggestion and had an updated plug-in 2-3 days later. They have answered every email I sent them with questions and suggestions (unlike Gluon). This is probably the easiest and most customizable way to add a document slug to your ID document.
