How come there's no Clintonisms...there's far more material there. I guess it's too hard to do, as it's too obvious.

Bushisms ReviewI AGREE! It is Funny, Useful and Free! Uncensored! - Version: 2.1, 1/13/2004 12:26PM PST

A delightful script for those of us frustrated by the repressive bumbler and his hypocritical regime of less government via increased censorship!

A suggestion for Zonkers who wrote "Would be nice" byzonkerz:

Immediately on downloading place the "BushismsFolder" in the folder entitled Library and if clicking on the BushisimsApplescript Icon does not place a "Bushism" at the bottom of your "Mail", then return to library, duplicate the "BushismsFolder" and drag a copy into "Home" and when your user Home opens up drag the "BushismsFolder" copy into the library folder there. You can have a copy of the "Bushisms" Applescript on the desktop or in the conntol bar, or both, if you like.

Bushisms ReviewFunny, useful, and free - Version: 2.1, 9/7/2003 08:40PM PST

Scary that the president of the most powerful nation in the world speaks about as well as Dan Quayle. Not a smart man.

Cool script. I'd like it to work a bit more seamlessly--double clicking a script after writing the e-mail works, but it's a bit clunky.

Keep up the good work!

Bushisms ReviewYou too can be a script kiddy...answers revealed inside! - Version: 2.1, 8/31/2003 03:18PM PST

USAGE TIP: The download includes the following: 1. Readme File, 2. Bushisms folder (goes in your ~/Library folder) 3. Bushisms (THE SCRIPT) - this can be run from anywhere.

What I suggest is putting the script inside this folder: ~/Library/Scripts/ (create it if it's not there). Then add the Scripts menu to your menubar by opening this: /Applications/AppleScript/Script Menu.menu

Now before you send your email you can select Bushisms.app from your *new* script menu.

ASIDE: While I concur this is a forum moulded and guided towards software review, this is not a black/white dualistic world and seen as this software is DECIDEDLY political in nature I would excuse those below (including myself) from exploring that gray area of human interaction. My apologies to the machina for the off-topic 1's and 0's.

Bushisms Troubleshooting ReportWould be nice - Version: 2.1, 8/31/2003 08:45AM PST

This would be a nice little item if I could get it to work. The main problem seems to be that I don't understand this statement in the instructions: "Then double click on the "Bushisms" script." I can't find anything labeled Bushisms script anywhere on the screen. I tried putting the app in my root library and my home library. Neither made any difference.

Great idea! It would of course be more ideal to be a mail.app plugin that wouldn't require the extra step, keep at it please.

Political Commentary continued.....Ron L. I have studied a lot of about how this our political system operates (as a Republic and certainly farther and farther from a democracy). It's equally appalling to me how when what little democracy we have (our right to vote for instance) is totally thwarted at a crucial juncture like the last prez 'selection', and doubly disturbing when our collective short-term memory let's it eventually go unchallenged. Without going into minute details, all the official evidence is available to verify yourself that: 1. Thousands of legitimate voters in Florida (mostly black & hispanic) were turned back at the polls and threatened to be arrested if they protested (2 constitutional rights violated); 2. Over 500 absentee ballots were counted that were determined inelligible by Florida state law. All this adds up to Bush not only losing the popular vote but the electoral vote as well. Face the facts, we're living under a political coup right now and when representation such as the act of voting has the posibility of thwarting that, it has been demonstrated to us that it will be struck down by any means necessary.

Bushisms CommentaryInteresting app. - Version: 2.1, 8/30/2003 02:55PM PST

Interesting app. Humor helps get us through. mattronic states: "Bush didn't win!" Whenever I hear this I realize the person that is saying it doesn't have a clue what the term Democratic-Republic means. This is not a pure democracy -- fortunately. Please read up on how this country actually works and how a Democratic-Republic functions. It's appaling how many people know so little about their own country. You are a citizen... right? Learn about where you live.
