SubRosaSoft GlobalTraceRoute ReviewLack of information/error messages - Version: 1.22, 4/7/2008 09:10AM PST

cfrees
It would have been nice if the developer's web site provided the information provided here about compatibility. Failing that, information in the download. As it is, attempting to run this on an incompatible system provides no useful error messages whatsoever. The application simply fails to work properly and logs the worryingly obscure message "How many space machines did you fall out of???" multiple times to the console log. Bizarre.

This is on 10.4.11 (PPC).

SubRosaSoft GlobalTraceRoute Reviewfree but requires unatainable serial number? - Version: 1.22, 3/10/2005 03:34AM PST

CraigStanton
Probably an OK product, but it insists on having a serial number to start up, and despite filling in the form to get my free serial number I still have not received one. So I can't try the app. What's the point on insisting on a serial number when the serial number is "free"? It is bound to cause problems as soon as the developer goes away for the week.
What's the purpose? Are they just trying to collect email addresses? What a load of crock!

SubRosaSoft GlobalTraceRoute Reviewlooks nice - Version: 1.22, 1/27/2004 10:48AM PST

mfix--2008
Nicely made with different kind of coloured worldmaps...
But there are two anyoing things:
1. why is the window not resizable ? This way you have to scroll around even if you'r screen is big enough. 2. if you press the stop button all your information (raw & map) disappears ? anyway it's free... therefore :-)
