Product Description:

Tired of constantly adjusting your music's volume?
iVolume ensures that all your songs play at the same volume level.

iVolume calculates the volume perceived by the human ear for each song of your iTunes music collection. Thereby iVolume gets the most out of the approved Replay Gain algorithm and adjusts your songs according.

Compatible With Your Digital Life
iVolume integrates seamlessly with iTunes on Mac and PC, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, FrontRow and AirTunes. Most popular audio file formats like MP3, AAC, AIFF and Apple Lossless are supported.

Blazingly Fast
iVolume takes advantage of newest technologies to fully utilize every core of modern multiprocessor machines for optimal performance.

Avoids Unnecessary Work
iVolume remembers all results ever calculated. Apply changed adjustment settings without the need for re-analyzing your songs.

Keeps Albums Intact
By using a sophisticated album detection algorithm iVolume optionally adjusts albums as a whole to keep the intention of the artist. This method is particularly suitable for adjusting gapless live albums.

Highly Configurable
Create groups to apply individual fine tuned settings to any specified subset of your songs.

Awesome Usability
All the features above are fun and incredibly easy to use through a modern and clear user interface.

What's new in this version:

iVolume Troubleshooting ReportIpods through Sounds Docks - Version: 2.5.3, 10/17/2009 12:20AM PST

Can anyone tell me if the iPod's Sound Check actually does anything when you play an iPod through a sound dock/bottom connector?

To me it appears sound check (and iVol) only come into operation via the headphone socket.

Thanx

iVolume ReviewNow compatible w Snow Leopard & iTunes 9 & better than ever - Version: 3.5, 9/25/2009 12:02AM PST

D-Lysid
This is the best app I've so far found for implementing the Replay Gain volume adjustment, which is far and away the best method of giving all your music tracks the same subjective volume adjustment. It doesn't mess with the internal dynamics of the track, but adjusts the overall volume of each track to match all your other tracks. This makes for much better sounding compilation and mixes. I mean, much much better. It's amazing what a difference this makes when listening. Absolutely indispensable. So good, in fact, that I actually shelled out the bucks to buy iVolume, which I rarely do, skinflint that I am.

iVolume CommentaryVersion Jump from 3.1.5 to 3.5? - Version: 3.5, 9/17/2009 08:33PM PST

Seems to be the trend today with the advent of Snow Leopard that developers' are jumping their version numbers several notches. First, it was Path Finder (5.1.6 to 5.5.0) and now iVolume. I guess they want to get to the upgrade paths quicker that usual?
