Mac Crack Attack version 1.1 and greater has an auto-update feature that checks if a new version is available at sourceforge. For the release of v1.1.0 a bug found its way into the auto-update code (basically one line of code was missing that checked if on-line). Version 1.1.1 was released soon after this was discovered, this version should not have this problem (if you experience this problem with version 1.1.1 please contact the author). To permanently disable version checks add (inside the "dict" tag)

My experience is this app tries to phone home; when denied it quits. I haven't made it past this yet. Running a robust mac on 10.3.6.

Very addictive. It's still not completely stable when it comes to sever/client running, but in solo mode this game is wicked fun!

I was getting crashes with it particularly at server and client modes. I had to force quit it in full screen mode. I am somewhat disappointed as this could be a great game if it worked smoothly.

love the original on SNES. this version added nice eye candy graphics. played very smooth.

Nice sounds effects, but their volume's high enough that I prefer to uncheck the sound anyhow. That doesn't work though - it only seems to mute the sound effect made with a 3-in-a-row and none of the others.

And why does it still quit if it can't connect? I mean this is a freeware application so piracy isn't a concern. This looks like a pretty cool and free game but as it still doesn't play nice yet I haven't tried it.
