Adventure ReviewGreat Port of this! - Version: 1.0, 8/25/2003 04:36PM PST

Yes, it's old. Yes, it's nothing like the games of today. But it's great to see it again. Reminds me of the days before ... I used to play this on a Z80 based machine and it was my first ever computer game. Maybe I can finally get that plover's egg! (I doubt it!!) Thanks for a great port of this.

Adventure ReviewI like it. - Version: 1.0, 8/18/2003 10:46AM PST

It seems very close to the original. Just the job for those who want to indulge in a bit of nostalga, but probably of little interest to those who are used to modern adventure games derived from this the first of its kind. I like it.

Version 2.5 is essentially the same as Version II; the cave and the
hazards therein are unchanged, and top score is still 430 points.
There are a few more hints, especially for some of the more obscure
puzzles. There are a few minor bugfixes and cosmetic changes. You
can now save a game and resume it at once (formerly you had to wait a
while first), but it now costs you a few points each time you save the
game. Saved games are now stored in much smaller files than before.

Lobotomo Labs says this is Don Woods’s version 2.5. Their GUI wrapper and native OS X code makes this antique a must-have for any Adventure collector. And you know you're in good company because "Adventure Help" points you to Rick Adams’ Adventure web site!

Nothing to rave about! just a text based game...Very antiquated but I guess it fills a place for users into memorabilia.Somewhat boring for those of us used to the games now available . I guess there are people out there that enjoy typing answers to questions rather than the stuff we are all used to in the games available today.
