Product Description:

This is a port to MacOS X of the original Colossal Cave Adventure game, produced in the '70s, which was the historic first "interactive fiction" game, in which the computer would simulate and describe a situation and the user would type in what to do next, in simple English.

The user would thus be a part of an ongoing story in a fantasy setting ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¯Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¿Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â½ in this case, an exploration of Colossal Cave in Kentucky. But this Colossal Cave, though remarkably similar to its real-life counterpart, was also very different:

Magic was afoot in the cave...

Yes, it's old. Yes, it's nothing like the games of today. But it's great to see it again. Reminds me of the days before ... I used to play this on a Z80 based machine and it was my first ever computer game. Maybe I can finally get that plover's egg! (I doubt it!!) Thanks for a great port of this.

It seems very close to the original. Just the job for those who want to indulge in a bit of nostalga, but probably of little interest to those who are used to modern adventure games derived from this the first of its kind. I like it.
