SimpleDoc CommentaryYou've got to be kidding... - Version: 1.0, 9/23/2008 10:53AM PST

MeV
Even though this company isn't a clueless Windows developer attempting to break into the Macintosh/Linux/Unix space, they clearly are targeting a business or enterprise user. At $600 for a server and $50 per seat for clients, this is clearly something that only a bigger company would buy. I wonder if someone would be willing to dedicate a high-end Macintosh with a backup system connected to it to be a document server. The product allows for scanning and maintaining version control for binary documents like images (JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BPN, and GIF), Office documents (word, excel and powerpoint), and PDF.

Other systems I've seen were for an enterprise (e.g. IBM's Documentum and others for engineering drawings). But this ain't for a home user.
