IPSecuritas ReviewIPSecuritas - brilliant software! - Version: 3.4, 10/28/2009 07:25PM PST

Sam Venning
I've been using IPSecuritas to connect to two different Juniper SSG-140 routers/security-devices (Melbourne office and Sydney office). IPSecuritas works beautifully. I was considering Equinux's "VPN Tracker" (expensive) but IPSecuritas does everything I need to do and for free!

The setup wizard works well and configures most of the settings required for my Juniper SSG-140 devices.

I found the Equinux documentation on configuring the Juniper SSG-140 helpful. The Equinux documentation goes into a bit more detail on setting up Extended Authentication (XAUTH) on the SSG-140. IPSecuritas supports Extended Authentication (XAUTH) nicely.

IPSecuritas - is fantastic.
I used version 3.1, then used the beta versions of 3.2 last year.
I've used it successfully connect to various Netgear VPN's FVG114P, FVS318, FVG318, FVS338.

The developer is very responsive. I'd recommend donating to help with the development - given what VPN tracker costs.

IPSecuritas ReviewWorks with SonicWALL TZ-170 !!! - Version: 3.1, 6/17/2008 10:22PM PST

w i n t e r m u t e--2008
Whoo-Hoo!! I'm finally able to connect to the SonicWALL TZ-170 at my client's location. This is a huge deal as the only other alternative was the WAY over-priced "VPN Tracker" software.

A big THANK YOU to the developer of IPSecuritas.

IPSecuritas ReviewWorks great, connects to Fortinet 60 gateway - Version: 3.1, 2/22/2008 02:59PM PST

Works better than the VPN Tracker solution (which for our gateway configuration requires the "Pro" version which costs $249). Very pleased!

IPSecuritas Reviewsuperp - coming along very nicely - Version: 3.0b14, 12/18/2006 01:42AM PST

mfix--2008
this Freeware VPN Client is better than many comercial products and it really works (even the beta or release candidate of it works like a charm). I especially like the possibility of the password protected export/import of configuations - very handy. Many Thanx to the Developers & keep up the good work :-)

IPSecuritas ReviewWorks fine for me, and obviously has NAT-Traversal since b5 - Version: 3.0b5, 9/4/2006 11:14AM PST

eyespy39
but a Problem occured since the Lobotomo Website seems to be dead, and further seeding of version 3.0b6 seems to have got forbidden by someone?
Since 3.0b5 will expire after a certain time (a month or so), the update to 3.0b6 becomes a necessity. Or is there a workaround for the expiration?

IPSecuritas ReviewNo login/password authentication, no NAT-T. Better use VPN Tracker - Version: 2.1, 10/3/2005 09:02AM PST

The price is the only nice thing about this product. It's unusable for me as I need login/password authentication. NAT-Traversal is also important for me while travelling (hotel rooms, public hot spots etc.).

I suggest using VPN Tracker when you are seriously relying on VPN connectivity for business purposes. Using VPN Tracker I was able to setup the connection to our SonicWALL firewall in <5 minutes whereas with IPsecuritas I needed 10 minutes just to realize that it doesn't offer login/password authentication.
