Well, I like it!

maudlin
I've used Paperless for several months without any problem of any kind and I like it. Its a simple, quick way of controlling my Canon LIDE90 scanner, whose own software is extremely cumbersome and unfriendly. I'm on OS 10.5.6 and using an Intel MacBook.

Bad, terrible, poor, and quite possibly the worst program I've ever tried.
Downloaded, unpacked and ran it. Instantly beachballed, and caused my other programs to beachball, including Safari, Finder, even Dock and the clock. And no wonder. After about 10 minutes of struggling to get my computer back under control, I forced a reboot into single user mode. PaperLess had caused more than 3GB of swap files to be created, and there was no sign it was going to stop or slow down. The file datestamps were all from PaperLess's launch (and I'm not counting the VM that had already been assigned prior to PaperLess launching). How can a 0.8MB program require 3GB of memory? This thing is obviously badly written for it to go out of control mallocing memory and doing nothing else, but causing the system to haemorrhage resources.
I will not ever even try any version of this software again, I don't care. This is just unbelievably poor. Crash I can handle - the system will stay up, and I can trash the program within a few seconds of demonstrating its crappiness. But you'll get no forgiveness for this behavior, because it's inexcusable.
AVOID like the plague.

Tried the program today with my HP C6180 and it wont complete the scan. It initially scans but them goes to import the image over and over and I have to Force Quit the scanner and program. I was hoping for a easy to use program like the old PaperPort.
