Product Description:

PasswordMenu is a simple but powerful application that allows you to store all your passwords securely in the menu bar. This way your most important passwords are always just one click away. Just select any item from the list, enter the master password, and the password is copied to your clipboard! If the login/password belongs to a website, PasswordMenu automatically launches your browser and loads the website. A little reminder window will show your username for that website. Don't worry about spying eyes, there are no passwords stored in the menu bar, only the names that refer to the passwords. On top of that the menu is password protected with your OS X admin password. Still unsure? Try it and you will not want to miss it anymore.

What's new in this version:

Rearranged the edit menu: The edit menu is now simplified - users now have the option to quit directly, launch the Passwordmenu extension, or save the the changes and launch the Passwordmenu extension.

PasswordMenu ReviewWhat a pity - Version: 2.5.1, 6/20/2005 08:34AM PST

Password Menu has an odd flaw on my PB867 / Tiger 10.4.1
When the program is running, a white rectangle, approximately 50 x 40 pixels appears on the desktop at a point near the top, towards the left. It is an "official" white rectangle because it casts a shadow. It is completely immune to being clicked on, dragged or even spoken to. When Password Menu is exited, the rectangle vanishes. The rectangle irritated me so much that now I have made Password Menu vanish.

This is a pity because Password Menu is a program that is definitely on the right track, and, had it worked properly, I would have registered it. I like the idea of easily accessible, low hassle passwords in the menubar a lot.

What a pity.

Hey petrova, what did you do with your computer that PasswordMenu messed up? ;) I used 2.4 before I installed version 2.5 and this upgrade worked for me without any problems. Maybe there is something wrong with your system, I also think here would be more posts like yours if it would be true what you say.
As said, not a problem for me since I installed it the first time (version 1.2).
