Product Description:

AddressX will bring the contacts from your company's Global Address List (GAL) directly into your OS X Address Book. What does that mean for you? It means that your Exchange GAL contacts will look and act just like the other contacts already in your Address Book. Search them, export them as vCards, sync them to your cell phone and take them with you. Take full advantage of the new system-wide address book instantly. Use your Exchange contacts seamlessly from applications like Mail, iCal, and many others.

AddressX is 100% transparent to both OS X and Exchange. As long as you have an Exchange server 2000 or 2003 with WebDAV enabled you are ready to go. No additional software needs to be installed on Exchange and no changes are needed for Active Directory. Best of all, if you can access your Exchange server on the Internet you can use AddressX from any machine with an Internet connection.

This trial version of AddressX will only download the first 25 contacts found in the Global Address List (GAL) of your Exchange server. The full version of AddressX will download all the contacts in your Global Address List.

AddressX ReviewAddressX - Version: 1.55, 3/16/2007 12:12PM PST

Groupcal and Address X have made it possible for me to survive very well in an Exchange environment, while enjoying the Mac features in Mail Address Book and iCal.

AddressX does a great job of keeping my Address Book synched
to Exchange. I could never get Address Book to sync to Exchange on its own. AddressX does it wonderfully.

Moreover, Groupcal enables me to see calendar changes I make on my
Blackberry - we run Blackberry Exchanges Services - and at home,
thanks to DotMac, to have my work schedule show up in iCal.

So, great products and very responsive customer support, very quick patches.

Don't expect any help from Snerdware. As a paying customer they would not respond to any of my emails or support tickets on their site. Thankfully our IT guys fixed our exchange server, and MS Office 11.2.3 update eliminated my need for AddressX. But I still wasted 20 bucks on this junk.

If the ldap functionality built into address book works as it does with our Exchange Server, why would anyone need anything else?
