MythDevelopers is please to announce the release of Myth: The Fallen Lords v1.4. This represents the first update to the original Myth game since mid-1998.
This update of The Fallen Lords retains the classic look and feel of this game while being 100% native to Mac OS X. Another classic is now available to OS X players. It will also work under OS 8.6 or greater as long as you have the latest version of CarbonLib.

What's new in this version:

Updated networking and support for multiplayer on PlayMyth.net (including ranked gameplay).
Ability to view back-chat while in-game.
Implementation of Myth Secure Packet Protocol.
Faster map-loading speeds.

This version comes from Project Magma, not Flying Flip (which no longer references Myth/The Fallen Lords (Myth 1) on their page. The Project Magma page is here: http://projectmagma.net/myth_tfl.html.

this is the update i've been waiting for! Though i have made do with "The Fallen Levels" for myth 2, but it's gr8 to have OpenGL support in the original Myth game :)

I tried to use 1.4 a while back, and couldn't get past the crashing cutscenes. Now in 1.4.5, they have the wrong colors, but it doesn't crash, and the game is quite playable. After a few hours, I did eventually get a hard freeze, but it may be an anomaly.
