MailHere ReviewNot a good product - Version: 2.1, 9/15/2004 05:27PM PST

I have to agree with the other reports. I thought it was great. Paid the $ and then found it did not work well at all. After my Mac sleeps the program no longer works. Only after a "check now" do you get any notice. Hope the developer lets us all know about the updates.

I got two replies now from Jumsoft, where they seem to finally have isolated the problems to the POP3 behaviour of Mailhere. They seem to be working on it now, here their last reply:

Jumsoft-Support wrote on 27th of July 2004:
"Sorry for the problems. We know that MailHere has some issues with POP3 accounts. The problem is that many servers sends all information in different way, because there are no such a rules described in POP3 protocol description.
We are re-writing MailHere from ground and next version will be 100% compatible with all servers."

by the way:

wrote a many times to get support for the mentioned issues (and I wrote my requests without free of offenses). NEVER got any response.

this piece of software seems to have one single function: to look nice in the beginning and to push people to pay the fee and afterwards realize that its not reliable at all.

simply does NOT WORK.
