Product Description:

Salling Media Sync synchronizes playlists, music, and podcasts from iTunes onto your mobile phone. It's free to use, but when registered it intelligently updates your phone, which is much faster. The application couldn't be easier to use. Once the phone is connected to a USB port, simply select the playlists and podcasts you want on the device. Salling Media Sync not only uploads the music tracks and podcast episodes, but also replicates each actual playlist on the device and--on devices that support it--transfers play count metadata for each item to the device, reinforcing the sense of having a piece of iTunes in your pocket. Although Salling Media Sync works miracles with most media in iTunes, it can't bring over DRM-protected content. Please visit http://www.salling.com/MediaSync/Mac/ for an up-to-date list of supported devices.

Salling Media Sync ReviewGreat! - Version: 1.0.2, 2/9/2009 06:11PM PST

Thanks so much for this! Takes care of the major mac/SE issue: inability to transfer large amounts of data via USB. BT is ok for a few pictures, but not 3 GBs of music. Was sick of having to remove card and sync with itmw (which was great for my old nokia). Plus, this gets podcasts put in my SE TM506's podcast playlist--used to have to manually create a playlist each time I transfered them. Only complaint is the price--a bit high.

Salling Media Sync CommentaryLooks slick, but limited device selection - Version: 1.0, 9/2/2008 03:57AM PST

Looks promising, clearly the developers have focused on providing iPod-like functionality to those devices that can do so, rather than just moving music onto memory cards, and that's great. Support for Nokia E series would be good though - couldn't get it to work with my E51. Gonna have to stick to SyncTunes for now.
