The Boys
Have used GPSNavX on my Pismo and PPC G5 20", this is the only navigational software to use on your boat. Easy to use and set up, with very fast e-mail troubleshooting and question answering from developer. Best of all you can't beat the price. The average boater will never use all the features of Nobletec, and the price, wow! GPSNavX kicks Nobletec's butt. Yes Nobletec is a PC software but now that you can use it on your Intel Mac, why would you. When your PC boating buddy cries about the constant crashing, just laugh or tell him to switch to a Mac with GPSNavX.

Have used for about a year now. Worked on my PBG3 up to and including my dual core G5. Used a GlobalSat USB receiver until I recently bought a Magellan eXpolorist 600. It didn't work at first so I emailed the developer and he had a new version of GPSNavX out in under two days!

Downloaded the demo version , just the sight of teh world map put me completely off. My 3 year old son draws a better map then this ...common guys get real?!

The best Mac GPS nav program available. I have used the program extensively throughout the Caribbean. Mine is coupled to theTripNav USB GPS Receiver TN-200.
GSPNavX is extremely responsive to program enhancements.

We've used GPSNavX for past two sailing seasons very happily. What a wonderful contrast with some of the clumsy efforts of other Mac-compatible nav programs. What is very encouraging (and helpful) : upgrades are frequent so the program gets better all the time!

This is the first navigation program compatible with Mac OS which really works! And they are continually upgrading it and making it better and better. It seems fully as functinal as the Garmin GPS which we have on board, but the display is miles better. Definite recommendation from a happy Mac sailor!

From my point of view (marine use) this makes it a non-starter. No matter how nice the UI is why in the world buy something that is essentially a standalone app? I would have a Garmin handheld that can't be supported with this app, a Mac laptop to run the app and a win machine to support the handheld.
MacGPS Pro can do both. I'm not a MacGPS Pro user so no plug intended.
