Aion Developer NoteAION 1.8 beta2 - Version: 1.7.2, 4/5/2008 10:06AM PST

Pawłowski Krzysiek
Hello,
there is a beta version of AION 1.8. It is Leopard (10.5) only. For now the "time calculator" is gone, but will be there in the final version. If you are willing to test it, you can download it from:

http://krzysp.net/beta/Aion-1.8b2.zip

Best Regards,
K. Pawłowski

Aion ReviewThe best.... - Version: 1.7.2, 4/2/2008 01:29PM PST

I was sad when Aion disappeared from 10.4.11 after the recent security update and delighted to find an update so quickly.

Aion is the least obtrusive way to keep track of multiple time zones when working with people from different continents. The basic version does everything I need, especially with the customization options.

Looking forward to the Leopard version.

AION 1.8 is coming although it may seen some time. It has been rewritten for most part but there are still modules that need work in order to function in the new enviroment. I know it has been a while since AION was updated, but without the new version it will be hard to put in any new functionality.

Perfect ... little real estate on my menu bar, shows all cities I need, and does conversions. Many thanx!

Aion performs as advertised on my PowerBook. I especially like the ability to format the display, even its color. This is worth the real estate it takes up on the menu bar. Exactly what I've been looking for.

The dmg file has been altered to include the dashboard widget, which should be there (but for some reason it wasn't :)

You can also get the only the widget yourself from:

great product for those of us that like menu bar access. An extra which would make it complete for me, would be to have the day of the week in the menu bar along with the selected time, other than that i like it and will now use it.
