This capability already has been around for many years on mac: wavebox, only $10 more. And it is solid software with a well thought out interface. Why should I gamble on unproven software? To save $10? Whats also really, really weird is that it seems like signalsuite are just mindlessly copying the other softwares features without adding any original ideas of their own. They also seem to be copying the organization of the user interface, but only to a point (probably because they would be sued).

"any standard audio software can generate all of these test signal and far more"

This kind of comment is far too common on Versiontracker and does a disservice to both developers and users.

Only specialized software such as SignalSuite offers flexibility and power beyond the half-baked afterthoughts that are "signal generation" on "standard audio software," which typically (when present) offer to make a sine wave or a square wave (not bandlimited, so expect aliasing) or a noise waveform. Such is a very limited level of functionality compared to SignalSuite.

People should refrain from reviewing software which works in outside their field of expertise.

Anyone that knows enough about audio to need a program like this probably already knows that any standard audio software can generate all of these test signal and far more. Why would anyone pay $25 for a trivial app that does far less than programs they already own?
