Product Description:

launchTunes is an iTunes companion that ensures your music is available when you run iTunes.

Although iTunes 4.0 finally introduced Bonjour-based music library and playlist sharing, it came with one significant caveat: if iTunes isn't running, your music isn't available.

launchTunes solves this problem. When you launch iTunes, launchTunes springs into action, automatically starting iTunes on the Macintosh servers of your choice!

No more hunting for the iTunes server, no more locked offices or dorm rooms preventing access: it's all handled for you through the magic of Bonjour.

do i guess right and there must be s.o. logged in at the box where the "iTunes-server" is supposed to run? i need an application which provides the iTunes-rendevous-server without anyone being logged in (why should anyone want to log into a dedicated server anyway, if not administrating?).

I run a G4 tower upstairs with my mp3/aac library on it. My Pismo downstairs is hooked up to the stereo and I always forget to start iTunes upstairs. This makes it easy for me (and my wife) to use the stereo easier. Plus the author is great!
