maybe Aspyr will actually have some time to address these hard lockup/crashing problems that have been occurring since 2004, though their track record doesn't look so good.
I have a MDD dual 1.25GHz G4, with an ATi Radeon 9700 Pro (OEM), and this game locks up hard at least once or twice a day.
I finally got to the point that I'm paranoid enough that I save every five minutes.
The sad part is this was just released as a packaged box set around Chrismtas of last year, and Aspyr has known about these lockup problems since the beginning of 2005 (at least), yet it's almost midway through 2006 and absolutely nothing has been done about it, except to give people the brush-off saying that their resources currently are 'spread too thin'.
Well, I say that if you have the time to take people's money, then you damn well better have the time to fix bugs in your software.
Apparently this game has problems with all OS's later than 10.2.8... and exactly what OS revision are we on now???
Get with it Aspyr. This is a fantastic game, but the lockups/slowness are about to make me throw a huge temper tantrum.

Ouch -- the very most expensive game for MacOS X!? If they come out with something new and exciting, like Spore, while it's fresh in everyone's mind, and not a year or more late, then I'd consider $60 for a game...but this doesn't meet that threshold for me.
I so want to enjoy this game but the freezes makes it a very love/hate relationship.
