Xmp3split Troubleshooting ReportVery nice... when it works - Version: 1.0, 10/10/2007 12:50PM PST

The feature is exactly what I need to split my long podcast radio programs in chunks that fit my daily bike trip to work.

I love the no interface drag and drop feature, I put an alias of the application on my mp3 key, drag my mp3 files to it and ziiip it goes... So nice.

Unfortunately, one third of the podcasts I want to split can not be split by Xmp3split, it simply says "File error! Possible problem with file or the split time may be less than the totla length of file" which is clearly an understatement since it doesn't do anything in this case.

Too bad!

Xmp3split Usage TipWatch Xmp3split work by means of "top". - Version: 1.0, 8/9/2004 11:20PM PST

I had to split a 26 hour mp3 file. Xmp3split split it quick and precisely, every 10 minutes as selected.

The front end is very spartanic. To watch Xmp3split work, start the program top from command line of MacOSX unix "terminal" and watch the CPU load (~25 % or, when finished, 0 %). The CPU load of 25 % leaves comfortable 75 % CPU work for other tasks.
