Long time I was looking for something like this: a little CPU usage indicator at the bottom of the screen. To bad it does not have the most important feature: The Bar has to be floating so it won't be overlayed by my other windows.
Get this feature to work and it will rock!
Optionally make it faceless (or minimum without dock icon) so it gets out of sight - but not out of mind. ;-)

when screen space is so valuable? PTHCPUMonitor (found on VersionTracker) puts a neat little vertical bar graph in your menu bar that takes up very little space, doesn't cast a shadow, and, most important, doesn't litter the landscape!!!
Not bad!

If all you're looking for is a clean, simple way to watch system load, then this is for you. I like it, but my preference is to have my dock on the left side of the screen. If I could reposition this to go across the bottom of the screen, life would be good. Other than that, it's just what the doctor ordered!
