Product Description:
OnyX is a multifunction utility for Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel). It allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, to run misc tasks of system maintenance, to configure the hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock and of some of Apple's own applications, to delete caches, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more.
What's new in this version:
- The version 1.9.5 correct a bug with certain configurations and the Hungarian Localization is updated.
- New Utilities > Manuals panel allowing to display the man pages
- The Desktop is saved before relaunching the Finder
- Enable/disable single window mode in Safari
- Enable/disable printing Headers and Footers in Safari
- Deleting Logs improved
- Deleting the User Caches improved
- Deleting the Internet Caches improved
- Safari's Debug Menu obsolete replaced by the Develop Menu
- Enable Web Inspector option removed (obsolete)
- Enabling/disabling the Safari Cache modified
- Show/hide the alert message before quitting X11
- Deleting the Fonts Cache of Gimp improved
- Deleting option of recent items (Cleaning > Misc & Automation)
- OnyX returns to the foreground after relaunching the Finder
- Localizations improved
- Bug in the Dutch beta version corrected
- Searching update modified
- OnyX works only on an Administrator account
- Download (theoretically) more fast ;-)
- Help updated and improved
- Uninstaller updated
- Czech localization of Uninstaller

Onyx stalling in 10.5.2 - Version: 1.9.5, 5/6/2008 02:03PM PST

I'm a huge Onyx fan, but 1.9 and 1.9.5 have been stalling out in 10.5.2. What did take 5 minutes has now been running for 30 minutes with no end in sight. Any recommendations?

I installed Onyx for Leopard, and with the first use it destroyed everything in my iCal, including all my iCal backups in Time Capsule.
Apple was unable to retrieve my information.
