Great screen saver, great port. I've had no problems with it.

Very sad, no action just a black screen with OS 10.4.4
It will be interesting to see when it works.

First off, to Unix Maximus, this app installs and runs just fine in Tiger. Umm, maybe you didn't read the "read me". Unlike most screen savers that prompt you where to put them, this one requires that you manually place it in your User>Library>Screen savers folder. I hate when people slam an app 'cause THEY can't seem to get it to work.
Anyhow, this is kinda like Solar Winds and nowhere as good as Helios. More of the same. Nothing new, but it works and the price is right.

This screensaver does not work with Macintosh Tiger 10.4.4. Upon downloading it will not even open. So the only thing that will be swarming is this to the trash as it is worthless.

Causes major freeze under my 10.3.3 - Version: 10.0.2, 3/24/2004 10:04AM PST

Ever since updating to 10.3.3, if FireFlies is chosen by the randomizer, my screen goes dark and the computer freezes. If I pick FireFlies out of the list in the Desktop and Screesaver pref pane, there is no preview of the saver and I get the spinning wheel of death. Anyone else? Don't know if it my install or the new OpenGL. Strongly recommended for 10.3.2 or lower. If you are using my system running 10.3.3, I can't recommend it.
Nice but..

too heavy. It is very pleasant to see, but it has too many settings. Slows down the system...
Fun to watch

Great stuff....But why can't anyone who codes screensaver include SCREEN RESOLUTION SWITCH!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! My God man!!!! Every screensaver is slow at 1600x1200, why should I switch the solution and then leave for lunch.....It should do it by itself!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
No leaks

Excellent display and also: No leaks at all! "leaks -nocontext ScreenSaverEngine" only shows between 0 and 2 leaks, a very good average.
