Forty-Two DVD-VX Plus ReviewVery Poor Software - No Support - Version: 3.3, 4/7/2008 06:28AM PST

This software is very unreliable. What I mean by this is that sometimes it successfully processes a DVD title. Sometimes it spends what seems to be an eternity and then reports an error, or just cfrashes.

Multiple emails sent for support have gone unanswered. The fine print of the user agreement notes that there are totally no guarantees nor refunds. This is one package I wish I tested thoroughly before purchasing a license, though you can only rip a short duration of video with an unregistered copy (I believe it is 10 minutes).

Look around and try other products before purchasing. Be sure this is the one you want before sending in your money for a license, otherwise you will be sorry.

Forty-Two DVD-VX Plus ReviewDeveloper Unresponsive - Version: 3.3, 12/17/2007 09:23PM PST

I have to add my complaints to the chorus here. I did a complete clean install of Leopard and went to re-install Forty-Two DVD VX. Like everyone else here, the Serial Number I was supplied at the time of purchase no longer works.

Several attempts to contact the developer via his support page have gone with no response at all. A quick check of the same product on the MacUpdate.com website shows they have placed an editors warning on the product due to lack of support going on for over a year now.

Until this developer gets his house in order, I would strongly advise to save your money and look elsewhere.

Developer has posted v3.2 on his website which is for Leopard. Maybe people should try contacting him again.
