I've used this great app. and told countless friends about it. For anyone who uses a Mac and sends email this is a "No brainer".

Since I upgraded to OS 10.4.2 this app has been acting a little funny. I just tried to send an email pic and something changed my out going server from smtp.earthlink.net to smtp.hotmail.com. It may not be this app at all, but it sure was strange. This is a sweet little app and it's a real life saver for me. I use it everytime I send a pic in an email. Which is about everyday.
What a good kid

This is what I've been REALLY needing. This is something us old people really need. The guy made it for his parents too. What a good kid. Thank you so much for making this.

this was the answer
We stopped developing freePhotoConverter in favor of our $10
PhotoExpress. To give freePhotoConverter a decent end of life bonus
(version 3.5 is freePhotoConverter's final release) we added all the
features of PhotoExpress. Now we removed it from our website. We just
don't have enough time to develop both PhotoExpress and
freePhotoConverter. Support will always be available by mail.
Greetings,
Pathos

Having downloaded any number of versions of freePhotoConverter that were buggy if they were usable at all, I'm happy to report that this one does what it's supposed to do and does it well. freePhotoConverter has finally developed into an excellent app with excellent functionality; and free, to boot. Thanks Pathos!
One caveat, though: Within the first couple of seconds of the download you will find a cookie from Home.Hetnet.Nl in your cookie jar, a cookie for which the developer has, so far, been unable to provide me with an explanation, and in the absence thereof I think that deleting it is a WISE course of action.
As I've mentioned before, l'd like to see a guide that would give advice as to what settings to use in various situations (if such a thing is feasible), because I often find myself using fPC multiple times before I get the results I'm looking for.
And the icon displayed on its VT page is still not the correct fPC icon, rather it is the PhotoExpress icon.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to develop this, just what a lot of us have been after, and now works very well.
Good luck with your future projects

I'am sorry. Really. I apologize for being rude. Why don't you drop a note at pathos@hetnet.nl so we can work on some improvements. Next year I would like to cross the US by car with my girlfriend. Hope we can drink a beer if we are around. Greetings from Holland.
ps. Nobody speaks Dutch so we have to speak english, french and german too. That's' why we make some mistakes.

I'll confirm that 3.5 is a big improvemnt over 3.0.1 (except for that unfortunate default folder location), which thankfully you CAN change now.
Still great

I use freePhotoConverter for over a year now and it's still great. Not a single app does the job quicker and better. This version even has some great new features. ClipIt and send to mail make me use this FREEWARE app every day!!!

along with your software.
I've downloaded several hundred programs and never experienced such a thing with any other developer's server, and spiritmusic's adamant denial of this unusual occurrence makes me wonder just what his interest in hetnet.nl's placing the cookies might be... I can't quote a source, but I've been advised that hetnet.nl is a "malicious" organization that collects info.
I think it's long past time that spiritmusic addresses the subject honestly rather than with his traditional bluff and bluster/cum/EST quasi-denial.
That having been said: fPC remains a quirky, but nonetheless mostly functional, piece of useful software; thanks, except for the cooky and attitude.
