Why not use the Command+Tab to find the open/running application?

So far, so good. As for install location; you can read the README and it gives the locations (Application and Preference folder)
When you use Command Tab, the display has to show you the icons, and you have to press command tab many times until you get to the app you wanted. You may not realize but ths action may take you from 3-5 seconds. So if you know what you want, FreeHotKeys may be the ticket.
