Fetch Art for iTunes ReviewNew version 2.5 coming soon - Version: 2.1.0, 8/11/2009 07:48AM PST

On August 15 Amazon will change how their web servers search for album art. They are requiring encrypting/signing of requests. I am working on a new version 2.5 of Fetch Art to support these new calls. After August 15 all previous versions of Fetch Art will stop working. Check back here for an update on August 15. It will be compatible with iTunes 7 and 8 and Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 and Intel and PowerPC Macs.

Fetch Art for iTunes ReviewReally good app... - Version: 2.1.0, 11/20/2008 07:17AM PST

This app does exactly what I need it to do, find my art and let me copy it to iTunes...it took a few minutes but maybe a little how-to/manual would be a nice add. Aric, you might want to add a tip jar or something for folks to contribute to development...

Fetch Art for iTunes CommentaryNo Idea How this Works - Version: 2.1.0, 9/13/2008 11:17AM PST

Running iTunes 8 and Fetch 2.1.0. OK, there is no info whatsoever on how to use this program. What I can tell so far is that a song needs to be playing in iTunes, you initiate Fetch. If it gets the artwork it will install it for that song. What about the other 10 songs that album? How can you batch add that picture for the rest of the album?

Also, once the song is on Fetch's window, you can't always clear it. The clear button is active, but hitting clear does not clear it. Choosing another song from the album, doesn't show up in Fetch. The original song is still there, and the clear button is now grey. The only way I've figured out how to get a new song into Fetch is to quit the program entirely, play a song in iTunes, then initiate Fetch again. It simply doesn't clear the song to allow you to add a new one without quitting the program entirely. Don't know if this is a bug or what.

Not worth the bother unless the developer gives some step by step info on how to use it, and can fix why successfully added artwork to songs can't clear from Fetch's window.

Fetch Art for iTunes ReviewHow to select the songs you want to art artwork to? - Version: 2.1.0, 9/2/2008 08:55AM PST

Works quite nicely, but what I just dont get is how to select the songs which are to be added artwork. The only way I can find is to select them while the App is not active and then launch it. Dragging the song from out of iTunes wont work.

Is there any other way you know about?

Also, there are only release notes, no documentation.

Hmmm ...

Have been using this nice app for some years but this 2.o version still needs some work.
Artworks are downloaded completely wrong and a series of "erros" pop ups keep showing.

This version works perfectly well for me. Only compilation albums fetch multiple art.
Apple does not have a lot of what I own, so this is very useful. Thanks.

I just downloaded this new version, and it doesn't work at all.

After launch, repeatedly results in error: "AppleScript Error: iTunes got an error: Unknown object type. (-1731)"
