Hogwasher ReviewOver-priced, Erroneous Trial Period, No Support, I think he's Dead - Version: 4.3, 10/5/2009 05:43AM PST

TheTLizard
Website states 2 months trial period, product states 30 days trial. Two messages to developer unanswered.

I like the product, but it's over-priced. It's better than MT-Newswatcher (free), but I will go back to MTNW because of the price, the erroneous trial period claims, and the lack of a response from the developer. He's either on a vacation longer than anyone else in the world, or developing Hogwasher was too much for him and has been committed without e-mail, or his life has expired, or has washed his hands of us due to his egotistical outlook on his creation.

I might have paid his price; I like Hogwasher better than any other newsreader I have tried on a Mac. However, without any response to my queries, I cannot feel comfortable paying for it. I should, at least, have my additional month of trial to reel me in.

Hogwasher Usage TipStay away from this product - Version: 4.3, 12/24/2008 12:26PM PST

This product has not seen a single update in 2 years although there are numerous bugs. Developer does not react to any mail.

Asar is clearly only interested in your money.

Hogwasher ReviewStay away! - Version: 4.3, 6/24/2008 08:00AM PST

The product is clearly unstable, crashes often and one then has to restart from scratch.

Devolper sent email (months ago) that problem was solved in next release (after he continuously denied the problem) but update has not arrived.
