Product Description:

iVCD allows you to easily make Video CDs and Super Video CDs on Mac OS X. iVCD creates Video CDs from iMovie, Quicktime or .AVI movie files. iVCD can be used to author Video CDs (MPEG-1), Super Video CDs (MPEG-2), XVCDs or XSVCDs and supports both NTSC and PAL output formats. It also supports playlists and menus.

With iVCD, each movie you make is stored in a separate project folder, so you can easily make additional copies of your home movies or corporate training videos. As added conveniences, it also plays .mov files, previews encoded MPEG, and erases CDRWs. It also has other special features for creating Kiosk VCDS, lightening video and rescuing video clipped on the TV screen.

A Video CD (VCD) is a video format that uses ordinary recordable CD media to store movies and can be used instead of a DVD or a VHS tape. VCDs provide 30 to 60 minutes of VHS or better quality playback. VCDs are a perfect solution for home movies and corporate videos because they are both convenient to play and inexpensive to produce. VCDs can be played on component DVD players, component VCD players and in any Windows or Macintosh computer with a CD drive (requires player software). Because they are produced on a low cost, light-weight media, VCDs are inexpensive to produce and inexpensive to ship.

What's new in this version:

What's new? DVD support... :)

I was really surprised. I used iVCD 2.x including a professional VCD project, blindly suggesting it.

(If your home device and the devices intended to play the CD can play SVCD, go with SVCD. It is MPEG 2 opposed to VCD, SVHS quality)

iVCD ReviewDoes not work at all - Version: 2.4.0, 8/8/2005 07:19AM PST

After 2 hours and wasting a CD, when you play the CD you have a CD with green letters on a black screen saying: bla bla unregistered demo version bla bla.

So it does not work, if they played at least the first 4 minutes or so fo the movie, then you would see that potentially after buying that it could work but all I've done is wasted band width and wasted a CD.

This demo should be taken off versiontracker as it does no service to wasted badnwidht and a CD
