SO easy to use! Between the . key and the ; key and the ' key and the return key, I never have to lift my hand! I LOVE it!
I wonder how the lefties fare?

The credit for this program's continued compatibility is due more to Apple than to myself. All I did was choose Cocoa Java and Applescript, both of which just take advantage of fast, stable underlying code regardless (so far) of the OS version (or these days, underlying hardware). I wonder if Cocoa Java apps qualify for "Universal Binary" status... :)
Look for a new version in the next couple of months (whenever I get a new machine and bother to move the project to XCode) with a lower-profile UI and some new features (hopefully including the fine suggestion from 'quite').
Thanks again for your feedback-

i'm using this on mac os 10.4.5 (three years after it was uploaded!) and it's STILL the best one out there. better than the other two bpm for itunes on verstiontracker! the setup is great. period 8 x's, return, semicolon, comma, return(!) and you're at the next song.
only thing it could use (tip for the programmer): sometimes songs have to be moved 30 seconds or so into the song before you know the beat; and changing applications means using the mouse to advance 30 seconds. perhaps a button to "advance 30 seconds" would make this app perfect!

Works fine w. iTunes 4.6. Manual less than complete, but once I figured that a transfer of BPM to iTunes required a keyboard command (;), it worked just as expected :) Nice...
Although what I really need is an automatic BPM counter for all of my iTunes swing music so it's easier to locate the right music for swing-dancing ;)

In any case, thanks in advance for your patience.
