Simodifier CommentaryThe Sims Magic Mirror - Version: 3.0v, 8/31/2004 06:24PM PST

lazerous69, I did a search on Google for "the sims magic mirror" and the very first search result worked. Seems simple enough, I don't know why you couldn't find it but here is the link to Millennium Sims, http://www.millenniumsims.com/index.php?page=objects&sub=misc&pg=1 The object is on the right column and is called "The Perfect Sim Magic Mirror v2.0"

I hope it works for you.

Simodifier ReviewStill obsolete - Version: 2.4, 5/18/2004 09:57AM PST

The reason people are whining is the author keeps charging for updates that really should be free. On the matter of the Millennium Sims' Magic Mirror, version 2.0 is totally compatable with Makin Magic (I use it regularly), however Simodifier version 2.2 cannot even find the Sims folder for Makin Magic! Besides if for some reason you do have problems with Magic Mirror under Makin Magic there is always livin-it-up.net's Magic Vase which is also free. Let's face with all these free in game tools available why should we be paying for bugfixes? In fact shouldn't we be asking ourselves if this program even serves a purpose anymore.

Simodifier ReviewStill a good product - Version: 2.4, 5/18/2004 12:13AM PST

Why do people whine so much? SiModifier is a great utility. One of the few for the Mac. And it is compatable with Makin' Magic (which the mirror at this time is not). Also you can do your things before opening the Sims without having your Sim go to the object to use. Both have their uses however. I do agree that paying for each and every update is a very bad thing. Customers should only be charged for major updates (ie. x.0 or x.5 versions). I still think this is a great utility and use it often.

Simodifier ReviewNow Obsolete - Version: 2.2, 4/16/2004 10:06AM PST

While able to do a lot of things this program is now obsolete as there is now a object for the Sims which does some of the same things as Simodifier and the object is free. Called a Magic Mirror it can be found at the web site Millennium Sims; the Magic Mirror object is far simpler, easier and faster (Simodiier takes an unbelievably long time to start up in MacOS X) to use. Also since it is an object within in the game itself there are features that Simodifier does not have (like renewing your needs with just a click of your mouse). While I orignally supported Simodifier because it ran on the Mac it simply has no purpose now and it very overpriced compared to a free Sims object that works in both Mac and Windows versions of the program.

Simodifier ReviewUseless for anyone with a non-english version of "The Sims"... - Version: 2.3, 3/11/2004 01:31AM PST

...since it simply cannot find the Sims-folder - even after renaming it!! Even if it would work, the price is a rip-off.

Demo doesn't even do anything but let you look at the GUI.
$12 for a cheater/hacking utility for a game that expires this year is too much!
What NO FREE UPDATES? RIP OFF!

So I buy the application for $12 and I find out that it's simply fantastic! Then I find out that I have to PAY for small, tiny itty bitty increment versions - multiple times each month - to stay updated. Even Apple allows you to download small increment versions of their OS for free. I agree with TheLoafingOne. This IS just a horrible and cheap way of making money off of people. Listen to the voice of my experiance. Don't download it or buy it until the upgrades are free. I WOULD recommend it, but since it costs so squishin' much, I'm giving this one a big fat NO.

I really enjoyed the Behavior Lab, it was interesting watching my Sims behave like cats and dogs and vice versa. And the tech support folks are very helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work Lake Group!

But this program doesn't seem to work with my copy of Hot Date while using Panther. I installed it just fine, was able to find "The Sims" folder like it asked, but it always runs into some file not found error when it starts running. It would be nice if it at least told me which file...

Anyway, I'm not gonna rate it at the moment since for all I know it wasn't meant for Panther, or I might have screwed around with my Sims files and not remembered it.
