Everything in this game is a throwback to the late '80s, early '90s arcade scene. If you want Raiden, get the ROM and get MAME. They're free and you can easily find them. Does a game like this deserve a 5 star rating? Perhaps to a top down shoot em up fan. To me, a 5 star game should go beyond a flat 2D scroller. Far beyond.
Excellent Raiden-style action

Mars and Deimos Rising may have slightly higher production values, but their gameplay just doesn't measure up. Demonstar, on the other hand, gets the insane bullet dodging mayhem right. Its a shame this game isn't as well-known about the mac shareware scerne.
Nostalgic Fun

Great graphics and gameplay. For what it is I think $15.95 US may be a bit steep as Deimos rising is somewhat more polished and is only $20.00 US. However it is still great fun. REALLY enjoy playing the demo.
In-Game Documentation is just a bit lacking you have to read the read me to get the fire key as it isn't what I normally think of first as such. But it works out well while playing.
