Product Description:

iTunes 4.0 had great music sharing capabilities. The iTunes 4.0.1 update removed some of these features, restricting music sharing to machines on the same local network. 401(ok) restores to iTunes 4.0.1 the ability to share music anywhere on the Internet.

What's new in this version:

It's inefficient, ugly, and poorly written, but it works. If anyone really uses this thing, I'll work on making it better. Mail suggestions to speth@icommune.net.

Ditto the "cannot accept any more connections" error in iTunes 4.2. Apple may have changed iTunes to disallow sharing connections from 127.0.0.1.

I was able to use this with 4.0.1, but now it's broke in 4.1 again. Same error about "can't accept more users". oh well. this cycle will probably continue.

The least Apple could do is REQUIRE a password in order to share outside the local subnet. I think a lot of users are wishing they could listen to their home music from work like they were briefly able to...

Doesn't matter THAT much to me, as I can still use Andromeda ;)
