DVD Cache helps you keep track of your movie collection. Movie information is automatically downloaded from IMDB and Amazon. Includes ability to record current lender with automatic and manual notification for over-due items. Also includes support for music, books and video games.

What's new in this version:

  • Add Dutch localization.
  • Fixed bug that would prevent the editor for books, games and cds from closing.
  • Fixed bug with Genre drop-down on Movie Editor.
  • Fixed DVD Empire searching and querying.
  • Fixed Late Notices messages that caused default values not to be used.
  • Fixed bug that would prevent over-due items from having a highlight color.

After 3 attempts to contact the developer, still no response. I have decided to switch DVDpedia and found their response time to my question about the ability to import the DVD Cache files was less than 30 minutes! Good news, if you have been using DVD Cache, this program will import the entire library complete with all information and posters quickly and easily. More versatile than DVD Cache, I regret having to change, but glad I did!

I have used this program for years and have a very large collection of DVD's. Now after the upgrade to OS 10.6 Snow Leopard, the program is broken and will not access the library or poster files. Have sent messages to the developer, who has been very responsive in the past, but have had no reply. I hope my years of data entry are not lost!

If the developer gets this fixed, I can give the program 5 stars, but if not I recommend anyone considering this program find something else!
