Product Description:

AppleScript droplet for OS X. To use vimdrop, drag a file (or folder) onto the vimdrop icon. The file will be opened in a new Terminal window with your favorite text editor (as defined in the $EDITOR environment variable). A binary compiled under 10.2.6 and the Project Builder files are included in the distribution.

What's new in this version:

vimdrop not properly handles spaces in path names. Also, you can now drag a folder onto the icon to open an editor session on a new file in that folder.

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher (may work on earlier versions, but not tested)

Have not an Open Terminal Here capability for panther, but usually I want to edit a file found in the Finder with vi. This does it. Thank you.
