The Missing Sync for Palm OS CommentaryI gave up on this. - Version: 6.0.3, 9/27/2009 07:56AM PST

It worked OK for a couple of years, but got progressively less functional as it failed to keep up with OS updates. I finally abandoned it in favor of iSync which works very well and has a much less confusing interface.

If you look at the Missing Sync software update page, it says this is not compatible with Snow Leopard. When I installed it, I had to reboot twice to make it sync properly. Still quirky. But I like my Palm Treo and won't replace the phone until it totally dies. DO read the installation notes and back up your address book and calendar. Just in case.

Marginally successful on my new Palm Pre. Copied my address book but not iCal (I seem to have duplicate calendars?)
Does not copy Now Up to Date, my beloved calendar program (Not the dastardly useless "NightHawk"). The old Missing Sync copies NUD to my Palm Tungsten beautifully. Oh well, maybe in couple of years when I have moved onto another phone they will get this one right.

6.0.4 worked OK for me on Leopard but quit working after upgrading to Snow Leopard. I tried the Mark Space beta version 6.0.5 and it is worse, won't work at all. After 2 days I am getting no help at all from Mark Space to resolve the problem.

This app worked when it was first installed but after basic use and an update my contacts would not sync. I know it is a software issue by the way it reacts, but every time I try to contact tech support I get a link to a FAQ. Their customer service / tech support is non-existent! If I wanted to read about generic problems I'd create them myself. Save your $$$ and accept the fact that no-one can make a reliable patch.

The Missing Sync for Palm OS ReviewGreat but to bad to be necessary - Version: 6.0.4, 11/1/2008 12:50PM PST

After updating from Entourage 2004 to 2008, I have decided to change to Apple's software solutions. Syncing my Palm TX with MS Office or iCal and address-book was an impossible mission! Thanks to Missing Sync it's an easy task now. The good news is, that Mark developed a solution for Palm syncing with Apple's dream-machines, the sad side is, that Apple still is missing profound Palm-Support.

Thanks Mark

My Tungsten T2 would not sync with iCal. I sent an email detailing the situation to MarkSpace; I received a reply the next day. The process they recommended resolved the issue.

After upgrading to Leopard, I bought the MS 6 upgrade to continue using my Palm TX with my MacBook. Things work, but I swear that about 75% of my syncs now end in the Mac application crashing--crazy. I almost always send my crash reports in, so I hope a 6.0.5 update will appear soon.

Startup time for v6 seems to be very slow, which adds to frustration following crashes.

Though it's Apple's fault, the program can no longer mount external memory cards on the Desktop, something I loved under Tiger.

For syncing a Palm under Mac OS X, this is really the only game in town. It does a competent job, and if you use J-OS to use Japanese on your Palm, the program will handle Japanese text syncs well.

The Missing Sync for Palm OS Troubleshooting ReportLack of Support - Version: 6.0.4, 6/24/2008 12:09PM PST

I installed MarkSpace on an up to date new iMac and couldn't get my Palm Tungston T3 to sync. In the past three weeks, I tried all their suggestions, filled in two request forms, sent two emails and phoned their voicemail twice leaving my email address both times. I have not been contacted even though the claim to respond within four business days. I would like to be able to sync my Palm with my Address Book and iCal but I'm afraid I just lost my money.
