Seems superseded by the free Adobe RAW plug-in for CS. I guess if you don't have CS it'd be ok, but it is so slow I gave up on it quickly.
this converter works GREAT for me...

I hate, hate, hate, Canon's utility for converting RAW files, and I've read some mixed reviews of PS's plug-in. I have found dcRAW and its predecessor versions to fit very neatly into my workflow and provide excellent results and flexibility.
Here's how I use it....I review and mark RAW files in iView and, using the "Open With..." feature, transfer the selected files straight to dcRAW. I then batch process the RAW files to 16-bit PSDs and batch process those using Fred Miranda's LPbatch actions (available at http://www.fredmiranda.com/Action_profilesPage/index.html ). The control that this sequence of steps offers is great...tweaks can be made at many different points along the way to maximize creative flexibility and I'm confident that the final output is the best that my digital camera can achieve.

As a hobbyist photographer I was really curious about the RAW capabilities of my Olympus E-10. But, I really didn't want to pay $99 for Adobe's RAW plugin. After all, I'm hobbyist: I'm not even certain if I need 16 bit RAW images. But this software has allowed me to experiment.
Not to mention, it's free. Once this comes out of Beta the the author should seriously consider making it Nag-Ware, shareware or donation ware. It looks like it's worth it.
Thanks.
