Doesn't work on MacBook Pro - Version: 1.4, 8/9/2006 01:19PM PST

I've been using this product for years, and it's wonderful. Unfortunately, it no longer works on my new MacBook Pro. It would be wonderful if there was a universal binary of this.

Thanks for a fast free alternative to Preview!

I have been looking for a program like this for a *long* time. Apple never got their act together with their "Preview" application - it sucks. Takes way too long to open files, trys to make previews of every page in the file (no way to turn this off by default, you have to close the drawer EVERY TIME), and it never opens things to a reasonable size by default, so you always have to resize.
Adobe Acrobat reader works fine once you have it open, but it's kind of a beast - large and takes a long time to launch.
PDFViewer 1.4 is much nicer. ;-) It opens things to a nice viewing size by default, doensn't waste time creating previews, and is damn fast.
My only suggestion so far would be to allow the user to click and drag the on the image like you can do with most other PDF viewers. Thanks for writing such a nice simple application which really serves a need of the Mac community.

Other than that, lovely app. Does all it needs to, and none of the superfluous crap that bogs down the Adobe viewer.
