In my 15+ years as a Mac user, this is the best $40 I ever spent. Not only does it give virtually unlimited ability to create exactly what your mind visualizes for business cards quickly and efficiently, but I also utilized the many well thought out features to replicate (from scratch) an offset printed detailed identification card for our club (2-1/4 x 3-1/2, portrait). Editing is possible on an extremely fine level of movement by using the arrow keys in lieu of the mouse. Placement of any element is available via the inspector to 1/100th of an inch, left, right, up, and down. Cropping can be done also via arrow keys (in lieu of mouse) to crop just from one side or just from the top or just from the bottom, and again, via inspector, to within 1/100th of an inch. Custom design of layout for printing is quick and easy for non-standard papers (including two-sided printing, either auto or manual). Merging from a text file is provided, including graphics/photographs and serial numbers for auto generation of two-sided ID cards for the entire list of members. Documentation could be more complete, but, if you don't see it in the documentation, just try it, it may well work. There was nothing that I wanted to accomplish that the program did not provide in a clear and intuitive manner. Use your imagination and this program can probably accomplish almost anything you can conceive. So far I have not needed to use tech service.
Great app! Couple of things would perfect it

I've had thisprogram for a while and recently used it to generate "friendship cards" (nnetworking cards for convention attendees). I hit the wall in a couple of areas. I mentioned them to the developer and am a bit disappointed to see they're still not addressed.
1. Not every field from Apple Address Book can be imported; in particular, the "Note" field, which would be really handy for importing a business name, greeting, pithy motto etc. can't be imported. Not a showstopper, but at this version level it would have been nice to see it included.
2. AppleScript support is very poor. In my case I wanted to generate cards from a FileMaker database of registrants, using AppleScripts created within FileMaker. I couldn't script the creation of a card; in fact, I couldn't even get BCC to open an existing card template under AppleScript control! The developer basically said, "yup, you're right; you can't do it."
I love the product, don't get me wrong, but I think some polishing in these areas would make this a really industrial-strength card creation application.

A master at what it does

This is a quintessential Mac program. If you registered prior to version 3, you will need to pay a (reasonable) upgrade fee to get to this latest version.
