Product Description:

EdenGraph is a graphing calculator, built for Mac OS X, which is able to plot two-dimensional graphs using standard algebraic or trigonometric functions. Many mathematical packages only allow for static, rendered images of graphs, whereas EdenGraph lets the user dynamically shift, track, or magnify the current graph.

EdenGraph complements Mac OS X's methodology: the power of UNIX with an elegant, easy-to-use, and intuitive user interface. EdenGraph aims to provide simplicity and usability, while harnessing the power and legacy of UNIX.

What's new in this version:

  • Add, save, and edit your favorite equations
  • Ability to graph absolute values using abs(x) or |x|
  • Round values using round(), floor(), or ceil()
  • Quickly zoom to several selections (50%, 100%, 200%, 400%)
  • Return to Origin
  • New application icon
  • Graph equations like f(x) = 3
  • Increased graph scrolling when the cursor is dragged outside of the window
  • Updated Help section with lists of available functions and keyboard shortcuts

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.1 or higher

EdenGraph ReviewAppears to be useless, like many graphing applications - Version: 1.2.2, 10/24/2006 09:30AM PST

sobeck
As near as I can tell, there is no way to control the ranges on x and y independently, which makes any graphing application completely useless. The zoom in and zoom out are completely insufficient for all but the simplest graphs. Any graph that has large outputs compared to inputs, or vice versa, cannot be graphed without being able to control the variable ranges independently. I can't imagine why anyone would bother to write a graphing app with this limitation...

EdenGraph ReviewEdenGraph is on par with GraphingCalculator from PacTech - Version: 1.2.0, 7/6/2005 01:43PM PST

I've tried the 1.2 version of EdenGraph.

Years ago, I used to use Graphing Calculator and this is about on par so far.

The previous reviews here are for a much older version of the program from years ago.

If you need a graphing calculator this is something to seriously consider.

Changes sound interesting, but I can't test them out because the app now quits on launch (app appears in the dock for a second, then disappears again). Trashing prefs did not help.

Console gives this error:

dyld: /Users/aet/Desktop/EdenGraph/EdenGraph.app/Contents/MacOS/EdenGraph can't open library: @executable_path/../Frameworks/mathlink.framework/Versions/A/mathlink (No such file or directory, errno = 2)
