Shrook CommentaryConfusing, ugly and poorly documented - can't remove items! - Version: 2.62, 2/4/2008 12:00AM PST

Right out of the box, this butt-ugly app has got me wasting time and scratching my head. Near as I can tell, you can either set it so items disappear when they drop off the original feed (which means you can miss items if you don't read regulary or don't know how oftem the feed is updated) or they disappear NEVER EVER EVER and there's no way to get rid of them. There's a setting for "Expire items manually" but nowhere does it say how to do this! There's an option called "Expire New Items" but all this does is change the status fo the items.

I need to be able to remove items once I've read them!

The Help menu just gives a vague FAQ and there doesn't appear to be support forums anywhere online.

This newsreader can synchronise your feeds with the other Macs you own. This is a blessing if you want to have the same feeds on all of your Macs. The synchronisation is a trial for 14 days but if you want to keep it as I did it is $19.95 a year.(well worth it)In addition your feeds are kept on the developer's web site so that you can access them from any computer anywhere.

Shrook ReviewShrook an outstanding Newsreader! - Version: 2.53, 2/13/2007 09:27AM PST

I like the panes and the option to import NetNewsWire feeds without creating an OPL file before importing them. This is a great feature for those of us who have extensive numbers of feeds in Net News Wire and do not want to bother exporting with an OPL file. This reader is FAST! In addition it comes preloaded with newsfeeds which is an unusual feature(Iknow RSSOWL has this feature and maybe a few others but it is not usually found in RSS Readers you usually have to build the library yourself). This Newsreader is attractive in appearance and I would gladly pay for it if it was shareware. To find this as freeware makes it a must have for Mac Users as is Vienna.
