IconBox ReviewOnce was great - Version: 1.5, 11/6/2005 02:31AM PST

This app was great - until upgrading to Tiger. Can no longer import icons, and no amount of contacting the developer has resulted in a fix - for almost 6 months. The complete and utter lack of customer service is appalling - I paid for the program, it doesn't work as described - and I get ignored.

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

the best OSX icon manager around. Version 1.01 from may 19 '03 was unstable & slow. This version is superb.

IB 1.5 is: STABLE / FAST / FLEXIBLE* / EASY / AFFORDABLE. *Flexible: the software publisher is small yet beats the big shot guys in terms of: update & upgrades, & listening to users' needs, fast. This version is completely overhauled with a mature interface now.

No need to elaborate on new features as you can read it on their site. Yet, suffice it to say, the way they listen to user needs, i can't wait for the next stage in Wanted features. The next best thing about ChickenByte is: they implement fast.

Unlike other software publishers & their affiliations, ChickenByte doesn't use tactical marketing tricks to give their product momentum, & like, BMW, doesn't depend on ads, but intrinsic oomph & quality that requires no comment. I only write this because i'm a researcher & have seen proof of unfair promotion on the web. Hail to the little Mac developers! Creative Genius & being Different belongs to the Crazy Ones, the Pioneers, & to the masses, never to money. Bravo!

IconBox ReviewAlthough improved... - Version: 1.5, 10/20/2003 03:54PM PST

...there are some simple configuration preferences which should be included. Like, being able to use some directory other than ~/Library/Application Support/ as the storage location.

I have 1,500 icons and having them dumped into a folder with complete disregard for their source seems counter productive. Not to mention i would rather save the space on my system's hard drive and store these items on a secondary drive.

The program works, it's just not something I would pay for.
