What's new in this version:

When European number separators are used in an Excel spreadsheet (for example, "1.234,567") and the spreadsheet is placed into an Adobe� InDesign� 2.0 document, the number separators are imported incorrectly. For example, "1.234,567" is imported as "1,234.567." The Excel Import Filter Update resolves this issue.

Here are Adobe's installation instructions for this update.

System requirements

Adobe InDesign 2.0.2 running on Mac OS 9.1 or 9.2.x, or Mac OS X v.10.1.x or 10.2.x. For additional information, refer to the current system requirements for InDesign 2.0.

Note: If you are using InDesign 2.0, you must update to version 2.0.1, then update to version 2.0.2 before installing this update. If you are using InDesign 2.0.1, then you must update to version 2.0.2 before installing this update. You can verify which InDesign version you have installed from the Component Information dialog box. To open this dialog box, press Command and select About InDesign from the Apple menu (Mac OS 9) or InDesign menu (Mac OS X).

Installation instructions

1. If InDesign 2.0.2 is running, quit the application.
2. Open the InDesign 2.0 application folder (to locate this folder, search your computer for a folder named "Adobe InDesign 2.0").
3. Open the Plug-ins folder in the InDesign 2.0 application folder.
4. Move the Sangam Preferences UI file from the Excel Import Filter Update folder (which you decompressed after downloading) to the Filters folder in the Plug-ins folder. When prompted whether you would like to replace a file with the same name, select Yes or Replace.
5. Open the Filters folder in the Plug-ins folder.
6. Move the Reader For Excel file from the Excel Import Filter Update folder (which you decompressed after downloading) to the Sangam Readers folder in the Filters folder. When prompted whether you would like to replace a file with the same name, select Yes or Replace.
7. Launch InDesign 2.0.2.
