Adobe InDesign Text update CommentaryAdobe - you've got to be kidding! - Version: 2.0.2, 10/6/2004 09:49AM PST

donlevy323-225-2228
This update is one of the most bizarre I've ever seen from a major Mac OS X developer (or a minor developer, for that matter). I can't believe that Adobe can't design an installer that makes the necessary changes automatically.

After all the effort they put into competing with Quark and making great progress, they make cranky old Quark seem positively user-friendly! Come on, Adobe, you can't really think someone with twenty machines is going to want to go through this, do you?

Let's hope they're still reading these comments and pay somebody a little overtime to get this right.

Adobe InDesign Text update CommentaryUm... a read-me?!? - Version: 2.0.2, 5/13/2003 11:40AM PST

Zeds Dead
Okay, I've officially had it with these morons. Even Unix tools come with a read-me file to tell you where to put the stuff! A bunch of loose components that go in several different folders is not exactly an upgrade. WTF?!?

Come on, Adobe—for a company that is supposed to be a company reknowned for ease-of-use products, you've totally fallen off the wagon

Adobe InDesign Text update ReviewRidiculous upgrage process. - Version: 2.0.2, 5/13/2003 06:46AM PST

Geola
I can't imagine having to install this update in an office of more than 2 InDesign work stations. What a major pain in the Azz. Adobe isn't winning any points with these latest updates as far as office work-flow efficiency goes. Is the InDesign thinking here that large offices are not using their product?

btw-I do like the new VersionTracker page layout.
