Product Description:

DVDxDV is widely used through-out the television and film industry to create broadcast quality video from standard DVDs. Many prominent television shows, such as, Frontline on PBS, have used DVDxDV to create high quality video from DVD. DVDxDV is a program designed to extract your movies off of a DVD. After a DVD is created, the original source material can get lost or damaged. When this happens, there is no easy way to get the video off the DVD and back into the computer where it can be re-edited. DVDxDV makes it easy to get at your video when it's on DVD. With DVDxDV you can quickly convert the DVD video back into any Quicktime video format. From there, it can be re-edited and burned onto a new DVD.

I downloaded and in stalled the product and had some questions to help fit it into my workflow. The support team quickly responded to multiple emails very quickly helping me get my project started. I'm definately impressed with the speed and quality produced by this software but I'm even more impressed by the support team's willingness to work through the smallest details to ensure I was happy with this purchase. I would recommend this product for it's ability to produce quality files very quickly.

DVDxDV CommentaryDVDxDV a must for TV Production - Version: 1.39.8, 10/17/2009 01:19PM PST

I have been using DVDxDV for over a year now and I could not easily do my job without this tool. I am a Technology Specialist in a K-8 school and help produce a Kid’s TV News Show at a local cable TV station.

We shoot the stories at school in .mov format using video cameras and iMovie on Macs and go to the studio to do the anchor shoots. We record on VCR at the studio and it is transferred to DVD format.

I use DVDxDV to easily convert to DVD to a .mov format so I can do my final merging and editing in iMove. I then burn to DVD for use at the studio for our final broadcasting.

I have tried a couple other solutions but this is the easiest software to use and it produces great results.

The support team is also awesome. I had to replace a hard drive on my Mac and I did not have the license key to activate the product for a critical weekend production. I emailed them and had the key back in less than five minutes.

I would recommend this product highly.

Great software a most for ANY video editor (pro or enthusiast) and better yet is their outstanding support-they emailed me a new serial code on a Sunday night when my computer crashed!
