Squid Guard - Version: 1.8, 5/16/2006 08:48PM PST

First, does this work with Server? Also, I would very much like to see automatically updating Squid Guard also packaged with this. That would really make this spectacular. It would also be nice to make it configurable through this interface, but integration first would be a wonderful start.
Stunningly good - Version: 1.61, 6/1/2005 07:33AM PST

This deployment of squid is stunningly useful, particularly behind a corporate type of firewall with passwords. It allows a one stop password entry, even across applications that do not necessarily use the Apple network settings (such as firefox). Add in password expiration on corporate proxies and after a time you see the incredible usefulness of internal proxy cache. Add the auto shutdown feature when you log off and you see that the author carefully considered what features were most important to implement without making the application overly complicated.
This app has saved me hours of download time when doing the updates on about 30 Macs in our school.
Highly recommended!
