I fully agree that it is a shame this currently does not work on 10.1, but there is a show-stopper bug on those versions of MacOS with the way applications are run that we cannot seem to work around. Everyone is invited to visit the MacPython website, read about the problem and suggest solutions!
Also, note that except for the IDE and Package Manager everything works on 10.1. And MacPython-OS9 works fine there too.

It's too bad that 86% of Mac OS X (10.0 and 10.1.x) users won't be able to use this app. Developers need to wake up to the fact (Gartners DataQuest report) that the majority of Mac owners are NOT using 10.2!

well if developers din't support 10.2 or 10.3 people would never upgrade would they ?
to put it simply everything sucks before 10.2.
especially for developers
