ColorBarTender ReviewNot too impressed - Version: 2.1, 3/16/2004 10:21PM PST

Graham Cox
Slow. Weird unintuitive interface. Doesn't make much sense without delving into the manual. Stuff that you expect to "just work" doesn't - like scrollbar arrows. Scrolling is like molasses. Selection algorithm isn't the same as any other program, making it hard to use. Cursors don't change when moved out of the window. Weird dialogs pop-up at odd times for no apparent reason, and there are no menu commands for these same dialogs. The dialogs are not self-explanatory. When quitting, non-standard behaviour makes it a pain - instead of a review changes alert, you get a separate save changes on EVERY window that's open. This is a major irritation. Did I mention it's slow? All I want is the simple old PalEdit ported to Mac OS X. I think I'll go and write it myself.
